Renal shutdown, an arrested Stage Five changeover followed by a sudden onset of breakout. It was this condition that Dr. Lankh thought he was inducing in his victims as he experimented on them to halt and reverse the changeover process. It was the use of a defibrillator, that brought on the Syndrome, which gave him the idea that he was succeeding.

Uses up selyn supply prematurely --- feels Need, which triggers breakout contractions while tentacles and nerve system are not yet ready --- which can only increase sensation of Need and waste selyn. Can die of Attrition before breakout.
Prineridine gel slows this process down.
