Bands of licensed, or unlicensed raiders, junct simes who cross the Sime~Gen borders to Kill or capture Wild Gens to sell to Gendealers

From the out-Territory Gen point of view, Licensed Raiders, Unlicensed Raiders or Freeband Raiders are just Raiders, though Freeband Raiders look more terrifying (being skeletal figures in rags, with feral expressions).  Freeband Raiders are less well organized, and less well armed, and so easier to defeat.  Licensed Raiders are the most disciplined, organized and purposeful of the Wild Gen's foes, determined to capture as many as they can, often including children.  Unlicensed Raiders are perhaps the least formidable as they often arrive as individuals, Kill one adult, and leave.

Raiding is a high risk profession demending extensive periods of augmentation.  Raiders can also be called to defend the border, taking captives in the process.  Licenses are expensive.

Gens used rifles on raids --- range was less than the sensing range of a renSime.  Raiders used well-coordinated infighting teams against individual riders --- composed of 4 simes.  Confuse the horse, one vaults up behind victim and disarms him.  The third Raider pulled a complex harness over the victim's head.  With the help of the 4th sime, got the victim to the ground, blindfolded --- Killed the first few to panic the other riders --- Simes in hard Need led the group --- attacked key point man first --- weeds out the irresponsible and weaklings among the Raiders --- many casulaties in first attack.

Gen sharpshooters did pick off Raiders.
